PetiteKnit Sunday is Sandes Garn's thinnest version of their 100% merino wool and is the perfect base yarn: a thin non-superwash treated yarn that can be knitted with single and double strands. Or knit together with Tynn Silk Mohair. Featuring PetiteKnit's own colour selection and you can mix the shades perfectly.
Merino wool is not only insulating, but it also wicks moisture away from the body and retains heat, even when damp, thanks to the structure of its fibers. The wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it starts to feel wet.
This yarn is guaranteed that it does not come from sheep that have been subjected to mulesing.
If you are washing in a machine, we recommend that all wool garments are washed separately on a wool program for the most gentle treatment. Due to the unique absorbency of merino wool, it is important to spin hand-knitted garments well before drying them flat, preferably on a towel.
